Why are mixtapes so important to you?
Because its a deep connection with fans & supporters. Mixtapes help to maintain a worldwide buzz & keep my audience occupied while I'm working on the album.
How do you decide what will go on your mixtapes?
I don't, I just record whatever I'm feeling on that day because mixtapes are just a bit of fun really.
What do you hope to achieve by releasing a mixtape?
As well as pleasing my current audience I'd like to achieve new listeners.
You've released 9 mixtapes so far, how do you make sure they're all different and don't sound the same?
On every mixtape there's growth, progression & the things I have encountered on my journey
How do you choose which songs you will release videos for? Or do you just choose you favorite song and make a video for it?
Its more to do with whichever tune gasses up who is in the studio with me to the point where they're like "You have to do a video for that one"
At the moment your mixtapes are free, but when you get signed to a major & get all famous, do you think you may then start charging for them?
No No Hell No NEVER will I charge for mixtapes, It's always to please & gain new fans so that when I release an album there's no complaints on buying it because I've already given so much free music out to the public.
How often do you feel artists should be releasing mixtapes?
Every artist has a different style that works for them, but I've released 2 a year every year since I was 16. My 9th was in April & now my 10th mixtape titled Authentic will be out August 8th.
Why should everyone download your mixtape? What makes it so special, how is it different to all the other billions of mixtapes out there at the moment?
Well ... My concepts different from your average mixtape. The view point I speak from means theres at least 1 track on there that people from different walks of life would be able to listen & relate to.

At only 19, East London MC Shivz Dotz has already performed at big events including the Big Chill Festival and Lovebox weekender as well as the very popular Bigga Fish events.
Since releasing his 1st mixtape in 2007 his popularity has grown and he has even been considered as an opening act for the MOBOs. His latest and most successful mixtape F.Y.P.M (Fuck You Pay M£) has attracted fans in countries including the US, Germany, South Korea and Canada and FU liked his music so much we even featured his track 'Best Under 21' in our OMG Listen to this! section.
After accomplishing all of this by himself we're sure that it won't be long before the major record labels start fighting over him.
