Séyi
Already making a name for himself on the Gospel scene, South
London artist Séyi is now ready to break the mainstream market.
After the success of his first mixtape ‘Late Arrival’ he is
back with a new release ‘Pretender’
Taken from his forthcoming ‘Resolution’ project, Séyi describes his sound as Pop/RnB with a bit of Soul.
Not content with being
simply a singer the 23 year old is also part of a production team called SOS
and has worked with many new UK artists including PW, Abel Miller and Ghetts.
On top of this he is also a songwriter for artists like Amplify Dot, Chip and
Rascals which sees him splitting his time between London and LA.
With his smooth laid back
tunes (go to his Soundcloud and listen to ‘It’s Christmas’ OMG soooo soothing)
and his musical ability it seems like we may have found the UKs answer to Neyo.

Kai Jones
Writing music from age of
12, it wasn't until age 14 that UK rapper Kai Jones actually found the confidence to go into the studio and record.
She first began to make
Grime songs then slowly branched out into Hip Hop and began experimenting with
singing. "I found that with RnB and Hip Hop they allowed me to express myself more"
Just like her musical inspirations Bob marley and Lauryn
hill,Kai aims to voice a clear message through music and promote positivity.Currently working on her Debut EP "Dreams" Kai wants to show kids that if you work hard at something you love and have self belief dreams can come true.

How long have you been singing for?
I started singing straight after I learnt to talk
How would you describe your sound/what genre of music do you do?
My sound is US RnB, this has always been my favourite genre of music since I was a small child
With song writing, what inspires your songs?
Anything and everything, I honestly couldn’t pin point 1 thing in particular. Creativity is random sometimes.
How did you get your start?
I auditioned for numerous talent contests but decided that wasn’t for me so then I made a few cover songs on YouTube and was approached by management.
Who are your musical influences?
My musical influences are Keri Hilson for her writing, attitude and just general voice and music. Chris Brown for his beautiful voice and creativity, Ryan Leslie for his unique producing and also Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill and JoJo.
In terms of superstar singers who would you like to be as successful as and why?
Beyonce, she’s kept a good image with the media, she’s the best performer I’ve seen, I love her energy! You can ask a 6 year old they will know her...you can ask a 50 year old they will know her.
What song do you hear and think ‘OMG I wish I wrote that!’ and why?
Wow, tricky one! I’d have to say Ushers ‘Without You’ but the way Leah Michelle sings it in Glee, no matter how many times I listen to the song it never fails to give me goose bumps, I just feel like I’m in another world when I listen to it.
Can you remember the 1st song you wrote, how old was you and what was it about?
Eeeek, yes! Embarrassing. I was about 9 and me and my best friend at the time decided to write, it was called ‘Could you be my boo’ or something hilarious along those lines
What’s next for you?
Well I’m going to be working with a few artists and producers which I’m really excited about, so watch this space!
