After building a solid following in 07/08 Philadelphia Hip
Hop artist Trel Mack is back.
Having gained a lot of recognition back then, with his music
being played on Philadelphia’s commercial radio station Power 99 and also being
featured on popular Hip Hop sites including HipHopdx and AllHipHop, Trel is
ready to continue his previous success.
“I’m so hungry now to
get back into the game after this break, my music has evolved on such a higher
level”
Starting his own label Street Knowledge Entertainment back in 2006 with popular
journalist/publicist Quinton Hatfield (Q the question) the two are now working
on big things to push the whole SKE movement, like new projects, new music and
new videos.
Speaking of new videos Trel has recently released one for
his track ‘No Holding back’ Now this song has deep lyrics and is quite
inspirational and kinda story telling and messagey (yep I just made that word
up but you know what I mean:) without it being too preachy and boring. The visuals are on point too and it’s just one
of them songs that everyone can relate to on some level. It’s a catchy Hip Hop
track and I know nowadays ‘catchy Hip Hop track’ normally equals commercial fluff
or Hip-Pop but he manages to stay true to his roots while making a radio
friendly track. If you don’t believe me listen once and see if it doesn’t get
stuck in your head.
