Stanley Odd

Scottish Hip-Hop?! Yes it does exist.. Nope we didn't think so either lol but it's actually quite good, going by Stanley Odds new album Oddio.
Started in 2008 , Stanley Odd have already received national airplay on BBC Radio1, RTE 2fm and Xfm.
Describing their music as sounding like "A million bar codes all getting scanned at once" and their album Oddio being for "Clumsy people who dance awkwardly in their bedrooms, disciples and architects of counter culture and those of whom fashion-sense is an oxymoron" Stanley Odd are proud to be different, so proud, that their MC Solareye even raps in a Scottish accent.
With their singles "Think of a number" and "The numbness" receiving rave reviews, they are doing a good job at trying to put Scotland on the Hip-Hop map.
With Solareye rapping, Veronika Electronika providing the soulful vocals, B-Dot on drums and electronics, AdMac on bass, Kamarata Kamerun on guitar and T L O this full band gives you a live music experience.
With very witty lyrics Stanley Odd say things you were maybe thinking yourself but too scared/ashamed/shy to say out loud a good example of this is their track Gotta get out of bed. Whereas the standout track Sun Dance is a chilled out storytelling song.
Basically Oddio is a very eclectic album with a good mix of Hip-Hop, Funk and Electronic beats. All their songs are about something relevant, real issues and most tell a story that you could relate to.

Oddio is out 31st May and will be available via iTunes and all major download sites.
